Ever since she first laid eyes on him in second grade, Juli has been in love with Bryce; however, he hardly feels the same way. Told from alternating viewpoints of eighth-graders Juli and Bryce, this is the rants and raves of young love. Bryce begins to realize that Juli is quite a catch, while Julie starts to see Bryce for who he truly is, which isn't as great as she once thought.
