This comic book-style novel consists of three sections. First, Jin is a boy faced with racism of other students; the Monkey King, a character from Chinese folklore, has great power but feels the gods perceive his status as lowly; and Danny, a popular high-school student, suffers through a visit from his cousin Chin-Kee, who personifies the ultimate Chinese stereotype.
